Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

a seminar/workshop that allows healthcare professionals to develop and enhance the knowledge and skills essential to improved identify and treat critically ill infants and children. The course materials are situational-based; a collaboration method is used to teach emergency management of pediatric patients forthcoming or currently in respiratory or cardiac arrest.


Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)

is a tool that enables emergency departments to prioritize patient care requirements and examine patient care processes workload and resource requirements relative to case mix and community needs.


Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)

is designed to provide high-level pediatric knowledge and psychomotor skills needed to care for pediatric patients in the emergency setting. It is a systematic assessment model that integrates the associated anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology and identifies appropriate interventions. It gives nurses the tools to provide expert care for patients from birth to adolescence.


Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

a course designed to provide the healthcare professionals learner with cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills. The purpose of TNCC is to present core-level knowledge, refine skills and build a firm foundation in trauma nursing. .

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

is an educational program that introduces the concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation. In Canada, NRP is administered by the Canadian Paediatric Society and is designed to teach individuals and teams who may be required to resuscitate newborn babies. NRP course content is evidence-based and is delivered across Canada in both English and French.


Basic Life Support (BLS)

For Healthcare Providers – is a classroom course that is intended to show a variety of healthcare professionals how to identify a number of life-threatening emergencies, how to provide CPR, how to use an AED and how to relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This program is for healthcare professionals who must know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a range of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.


Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

A Instructor-led, advanced course, builds on the basis of basic life support (BLS) skills. It stresses the significance of continuous, high-quality CPR and takes healthcare provider training to the next level- emphasizing the importance of team collaboration, coordination and communication, structures of care, recognition and intervention ofimmediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke,cardiopulmonary arrest and acute coronary syndromes.
